Shameless Hours Fest

Friday September 2, 2005 @ The Barn in Willowbrook, IL

In what proved to be the highlight of the night, Shooting Blanks took the stage next. Now, if you're reading this and aren't from Chicago here's the rundown. Dubbed early on as "Drunk Punk," Shooting Blanks has a habit of partying and playing your typical Chicago pop -punk, and I stress the word punk. They crack tasteless jokes, drink a lot of alcohol, have fun, and don't really care what people think. In other words they are everything I love from a punk rock band. Recently they have gained a decent following in Chicago with their video's in rotation on a local video show, JBTV, and playing bigger venues like Double Door, Bottom Lounge, etc… Well tonight they were dead on with their set. They didn't go way back into their catalog and showcase really old stuff, but they satisfied their fans. Energy, energy, energy!!! Their set list included: Ignore Me (set opener), Louder, Simple Song (set closer), She Loves Me Cuz I Rock (by request), Gone Away, The Last Song…, 97 Miles, Brace Yourself, and more.
